Safety Training Tank Car CCPX 911

The Chemistry Industry Association of Canada's CCPX 911 rail tank car is a state-of-the-art safety training tool.

As a virtual classroom on wheels, CCPX 911 allows Association member-companies to train their employees and first-responder personnel, and has also been used at open houses and other public events as an educational tool to highlight the importance of the safe transportation of chemical products.

Developed in 1990 in partnership with rail car manufacturer Procor and CN and CP Rail, CCPX 911 is the first vehicle of its kind and is a key component in delivering Transportation Community Awareness concerning Emergency Response (TransCAER®). A valuable and supporting initiative of Responsible Care®, TransCAER® is a national outreach effort that focuses on assisting communities in preparing for and responding to potential transportation incidents involving dangerous goods.
